This steelpan educator and performer has conducted seminars and workshops on the Black History of Steelpan to schools, churches, community, agencies and University. Currently hypothesizing the benefits of creating the Toronto Steelpan Development Institute, he has placed his research energies into the environmental aspects of steelpan development. Mr Joseph has a diverse musical background and played the steelpan with the Boys Town Steel Orchestra of Point Cumana, a semi-finalist in the National Panorama Competition of 1975. Joseph is currently the leader of a steelpan quartet and plays the G Pan Tenor (soprano), a low E double second, four pans and guitar pans.
